Hello! I am Tim Hopper and I am a hobby level beekeeper in Central Illinois. My start with beekeeping was in 2015 when I helped a coworker take some hives out of buildings and watching him catch swarms. I caught the BUG! I started my own beekeeping in 2016 with four hives that he helped me with. I have grown to averaging around 30 hives all across Montgomery County.

I have come to really love this hobby and all the beneficial aspects of beekeeping for our environment. I have gone from harvesting 50 -100 pounds of honey to harvesting close to 1000 pounds of honey in a season. I have come a long way and try to adapt the ever changing factors that effect the bees.

I have also been lucky over the past 9 years to mentor new beekeepers or get others started in beekeeping.
